In April 2015, Prabakaran, a well-known sports shoe manufacturer in Tamil Nadu, India, contacted Beier after being referred by another client. Prabakaran needed a reliable way to test the durability of their rubber shoe soles, which has an important role in the performance and longevity of sports footwear. To ensure their products met high-quality standards, they sought our expertise in developing an ozone test chamber capable of simulating real-world conditions and assessing how exposure to ozone affects rubber over time.
Prabakaran needed a testing solution that could simulate the aging process of rubber shoe soles under controlled ozone exposure. The goal was to evaluate the material’s resistance to ozone-related degradation, ensuring product durability and extending the lifespan of their footwear.
To meet this requirement, we developed a custom ozone aging test chamber (BR-QL-150), designed in compliance with JIS K6259, ASTM 1149, ISO 1431, GB/T 7762, GB/T 2951.1, and GB/T 13642 standards. This chamber allows precise simulation of ozone exposure by adjusting ozone concentration, temperature, and exposure time, enabling Prabakaran to assess the long-term durability of their rubber soles in real-world conditions.
With our ozone aging test chamber, Prabakaran successfully evaluated the durability of their rubber shoe soles under simulated ozone exposure. The detailed data provided by the chamber was important for guiding product development, allowing their R&D team to optimize material formulations and enhance the ozone resistance of their products. In addition to replicating real-world ozone conditions, the chamber delivered comprehensive testing data, enabling continuous improvements in material performance and product longevity.
Following their successful experience with our ozone aging test chamber, Prabakaran recommended our test chamber solution to another Vietnamese client, Nhuan Nguyen. In July 2015, Nhuan Nguyen proceeded to purchase the same BR-QL-150 ozone aging test chamber, further reinforcing the reliability and effectiveness of our equipment in the footwear industry.
